SLOLAF’s Second Annual Fundraiser

San Luis Obispo Legal Assistance Foundation (SLOLAF) held its second annual fundraiser on October 10 at the magnificent Edna Valley home of attorneys Lisa and Michael Toke.  200 guests enjoyed “A Night In Tuscany” including an Italian feast prepared by Chef Jose Dahan, accompanied by a string quartet, theme-inspired libations, raffles, and a lively live auction that concluded with Don Ernst, SLOLAF’s 2015 Access to Justice Advocate, jumping in the pool (fully clothed), raising an extra $1,000 in the process.

The evening raised $62,000 for SLOLAF’s efforts to provide legal services in San Luis Obispo County.  SLOLAF runs the Senior Legal Services Program, serving seniors in need in San Luis Obispo County on a variety of legal matters.  SLOLAF also provides legal services to veterans who are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless, and to disabled adults needing assistance with government benefits.  SLOLAF strives to meet the legal needs of SLO County’s most vulnerable residents and welcomes feedback and suggestions from members of the bar and the community at large.

SLOLAF would like to thank our local attorneys and friends for their ongoing support, and particularly those who made significant contributions such as our Access to Justice Sponsor, Ernst Law Group, along with Andre, Morris & Buttery, Adamski Moroski Madden Cumberland & Green LLP, Carmel & Naccasha LLP, Coast National Bank, Coates & Coates LLP, Curtze Law Offices,  the Law Offices of Daniel J. O’Neill, Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, Inc., Mattison Law Firm, Sinsheimer Junkhe McIvor & Stroh LLP, and Ruth and Bob Bostrom.  If you missed this amazing evening, you will have another chance in 2016. The Tokes have generously offered their home again for SLOLAF’s third annual fundraiser.  If you would like to help or find out about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Stephanie Barclay at stephanie@slolaf.org or 548-0792.
