MCLE: Working with the Probate Referee

Guest speaker: Douglas G. Barth, California Probate Referee
Douglas Barth has served as the Probate Referee for San Luis Obispo County for the last 22 years. He has been a real estate appraiser for 38 years. Mr. Barth also serves on the Planning Commission for the City of Paso Robles, is an Assessment Appeals Board Member for the County of San Luis Obispo, and is serving this year as the President of the California Probate Referees Association.
Subject: Working with the Probate Referee
Mr. Barth will provide the Probate Referee’s perspective of the probate process. Mr. Barth’s discussion will include what the court looks for on an inventory, as well as what legal representatives and executors can do to help expedite the process for the Referee. The latest (2017) copy of “The Probate Referee Guide” will be provided as a handout.

The SLO County Bar Association is a California State Bar approved MCLE provider. This program qualifies for one (1.0) hour of MCLE credit.
