Guest speaker:

Karen Jones, Executive Director | Long Term Care Ombudsman of San Luis Obispo County

Karen is the Treasurer for the California Long Term Care Ombudsman Association (CLTCOA). She is Co-Chair for the National Local Long Term Care Ombudsman Association (NALLTCO). She participates with many groups that comment on or advocate for legislation that can benefit care facility residents or the elderly.

She also participates in many San Luis Obispo County organizations, such as Adult Abuse Prevention Council, Adult Services Policy Council and the District Attorney’s First Responder/Elder Death Review Team.

Probate Court Changes

Michelle Rowe, San Luis Obispo County Probate Examiner will introduce Julie Casey, San Luis Obispo County Court Attorney. Ms. Casey will be acting as Probate Examiner during Ms. Rowe’s maternity leave. They will explain changes to procedure in the Probate Examiner’s office during Ms. Rowe’s absence.

Registration Fee Includes:
  • Lunch
  • Program materials will provided at the meeting
  • One (1.0) hour of total MCLE credit
The ET Section will apply for ONE HOUR of MCLE credit for participation in this program.
The SLO County Bar Association is a California State Bar approved MCLE provider
